One Man Dead After Rear-Ending Vta Bus In San Jose

A man is dead and another is being treated for life-threatening injuries after the car they were in rear-ended a VTA bus as it pulled up to a bus stop on West San Carlos Street near South Buena Vista Avenue on Friday afternoon, officials said.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. A 30-year-old male passenger of the car was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. A 36-year-old male passenger of the Mitsubishi was also taken to the hospital, but his injuries were not considered life-threatening.
