FREE Personal Emergency Preparedness Class

When a disaster strikes it may be several days before emergency services arrive in your neighborhood.  Even if it's not a devastating earthquake, preparing for the unexpected is important.

This FREE class, being presented by San Jose's Office of Emergency Management, is designed to teach individuals and families how to be able to make it through the first 72 hours following a disaster.  Learn what supplies you need to have, where to keep them, and how you can ensure that you're ready for the unexpected.

​

This introductory class includes information on preparing and reacting to different types of disasters, both home and work place preparedness, as well as how to build a disaster supply kit.

​

This class is open to all San Jose residents, to ensure there is adequate space for everyone, please use the form below to register.

Free street parking is available along W San Carlos, on site guest parking is limited, walking is encouraged.

The Community Room can be access from W San Carlos by going up the short flight of stairs from the street.
