On Monday, Buena Vista Park was the scene of a real fowl play – the Buena Vista Turkey Giveaway!

We partnered with our feathered friends at Echo Church and Vive Church to serve up 100 turkeys to families in the Buena Vista neighborhood, free of charge. Talk about a plucking amazing event!

The day wasn’t just about handing out birds; it was about flocking together as a community. Families lined up with smiles as wide as a Thanksgiving spread, and the atmosphere was stuffed with gratitude. Volunteers were all hands on deck, ensuring every neighbor felt welcome and supported.

Echo Church and Vive Church truly brought their A-game. Their generosity and dedication helped us wing it and pull off such a successful event. We couldn’t have done it without their support – they really gave us something to crow about!

For many, the giveaway wasn’t just about getting a turkey; it was a reminder of how strong and caring our neighborhood is. Moments like these show that our community is more than just a place to live – it’s a place where people come together to lend a hand (or a wing) when it’s needed most.

Looking back on the Buena Vista Turkey Giveaway, our hearts are as full as the Thanksgiving table. A huge drumstick – er, drumroll – of thanks goes to the volunteers, our church partners, and the wonderful families who joined us.

We’re already cooking up ideas to make next year’s event even better. Until then, thank you, Buena Vista, for showing us that when we work together, we can make our community eggs-traordinary.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
