Building Electrification Plan Draft Release

BVNA

The City of San José is pleased to release a draft of our Existing Building Electrification Draft Plan (“Plan”) for public review. The draft Plan provides a framework to equitably decarbonize existing buildings in San José. The draft Plan prioritizes four key community priorities and was created with the input and guidance of community-based organizations.

We will be hosting two information sessions this week to provide an overview of the Plan and an update on our timeline. Please use this link to sign up for one of the information sessions. The public review period will be open from February 22nd to March 11th. Comments can be submitted at this link.

Please visit the City’s Building Electrification webpage for more details, including a link to the Plan. The Executive Summary provides an overview of the Plan and is available in Spanish and Vietnamese.

If you have any questions about the Building Electrification plan, you can reach out to Elena Olmedo at elena.olmedo@sanjoseca.gov
