Flash Flood Watch and Wind Advisory

The Office of Emergency Management just conducted several coordination calls with our partners including the National Weather Service, the Santa Clara Valley Water District, and the Santa Clara County Office of Emergency Services. We are all leaning forward to make sure folks are aware of the bad weather we have coming our way. Tomorrow afternoon and evening will be the worst of it, with rain and wind peaking between 4 pm and 10 pm. Please be extra cautious driving during tomorrow's commute home.

The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch and a Wind Advisory which can be read in detail here: https://gov.usa.xED9Z

The City of San Jose has Overnight Warming Locations open for those who need shelter, please share this phone number 408-510-7600 and more information is available here: http://www.sanjoseca.gov/index.aspx?NID=5752

If you would like sand bag locations you can find that information here: https://www.valleywater.org/sandbags

As always, our office is closely monitoring the situation and the Emergency Operations Center will be activated if needed. Please take some extra time to check on family and neighbors during this cold and wet weather.
