In partnership with the American Diabetes Association and funding from a grant through Santa Clara County, the Department of Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services offers FREE diabetes camp to youth who present a high risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes.
Camp is offered in two separate sessions: from July 16 to 20 at Mayfair Community Center and July 30 to Aug. 3 at Seven Trees Community Center, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Healthy snacks and lunch will be provided.
During the week-long camp, children will learn about healthy lifestyle choices from a diabetes educator and dietician. The camp includes recreational activities such as swimming and arts and crafts.
Priority registration is given to children who are diagnosed with pre-diabetes or Type 2 Diabetes. Register at any community center in-person or online at:
