Midtown Litter Pick-up, August 15th



Many residents have been asking how they can safely volunteer during this time, and some have suggested a litter pick-up activity. This is a good way to #BeautifySJ with a physically distanced outdoor activity.


Volunteers will meet at different street segments and work in groups of up to 10 people

You MUST pre-register to be assigned a street segment to meet and volunteer and to maintain distance between groups. Volunteers will be provided with sanitized litter pick-up sticks, disposable gloves, safety vests and bags.

Sat, August 15, 2020

9:00 AM – 11:00 AM PDT

1300 W San Carlos St.


Please remember:

  • You will be asked to wear a face covering or mask

  • DO NOT attend if you are sick, have a cough, etc.

  • DO NOT attend if you have come into contact with anyone who has tested positive for Covid-19 in the past 14 days.

  • Wash your hands thoroughly for AT LEAST 20 seconds with soap and water before arriving

  • Wear closed toed shoes

  • Avoid close contact with other people (6 feet+ of social distance)

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth

  • Cough into your elbow or cough into a tissue and throw away the tissue after use

  • You will be provided with disposable gloves to wear

  • We will provide hand sanitizer, but we encourage you to bring your own small personal hand sanitizer (70%+ alcohol) to use

  • Please arrive on time to be part of a brief orientation and ensure that you are up-to-date and following preventative protocols.
