REMINDER: COVID-19 vaccines are available to the public at no cost. The California Department of Justice, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of California, and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General have received credible allegations that some providers have charged patients as much as $45 in out-of-pocket fees to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.

Let me be clear: COVID-19 vaccines are available at no charge to all who qualify.

If you know or suspect that any healthcare provider or pharmacy is improperly charging for the COVID-19 vaccine, please report to 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227) or www.Medicare.Gov/Medicarecomplaintform.

You can also file a complaint with the California Attorney General’s office at ‪www.oag.ca.gov/report.
