The Hub is Coming to Buena Vista

The Hub, located in Santa Clara County, California, serves current and former foster youth ages 15-25 and alumni. The center is relocating from 591 N. King Rd. Suite 1, San Jose, CA 95133 to its new home within the Abode Housing Development at 1510–1540 Parkmoor Avenue, San Jose, CA 95126. The new facility will occupy 17,000 square feet of ground-floor space and will continue to be operated by the County of Santa Clara, providing expanded access to critical services and resources for foster youth in a centralized, transit-accessible location.

The Hub maintains its mission of being a youth-led and organized community and resource center, dedicated to supporting current and former foster youth by providing a safe, welcoming center where foster youth feel a sense of belonging, empowerment, and are offered a variety of services by their peers and other caring community members. Acting as a centralized, one-stop resource center, The Hub provides essential services to foster youth who have experienced out-of-home placement for at least one day in their lives. The center offers a wide range of resources and services including, but not limited to the following:

• Laundry and showers

• Laptops and phones

• Food & cooking classes

• Education- Opportunity Youth Academy Employment support

• Parenting education

• Housing support

• Mobile health van

• Independent Living Program

• Mental health services

• Transportation support

• Legal aid

• LGBTQ+ support

• VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) income tax preparation services

• Creative art workshops
