There’s Still Time to Make a Difference

Thank you to everyone who has come together to make a positive impact on our neighbors lives this holiday season. The Buena Vista Neighborhood Association has dropped off our first load of toys with the fire department (we are working on our second load now). We managed to fill a toy donation barrel with gifts for people of all ages.

If you would like to donate toys theres still time, our closest fire station is Station 4.

Give Joy This Holiday Season by Donating to SJFD’s 2021 Annual Toy Drive.

The San José Fire Department is continuing its 30+ year partnership with Los Bomberos of Northern California to brighten the holidays for thousands of children and hundreds of families throughout Santa Clara County. From now until the end of the year, we're accepting donations of new, unwrapped toys at all San José fire stations. To find the fire station nearest you, please visit:

To keep donors and firefighters safe from the spread of COVID-19, we’ve implemented safety protocols to provide a safe, no-contact donation experience. Please review the procedure outlined below before bringing your donations to a fire station.

TOY DROP-OFF PROCEDURE

  • Please wear a face covering at all times.

  • Knock on the front door of the fire station.

  • Firefighters will direct you towards the apparatus bay door.

  • You will then be directed towards a donation bin just inside.

  • Place your donation inside the clear plastic bag provided to you, knot it, and place it in the donation bin.

  • Feel the warmth of the holidays and know you are helping to bring joy to a deserving child this holiday season!

Thanks to all who have already donated and to those who are considering helping us spread holiday cheer to deserving families during these difficult times. The San José Fire Department wishes you all a safe and happy holiday season!

This program is sponsored by Los Bomberos of Northern California in partnership with San José Fire Department and San Jose Firefighters Local 230.
