
Shelby Stagi is working on a master’s project focusing on developing sustainable design guidelines for Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) in San Jose. The goal with this project is to develop simple guidelines for cost effective, environmentally sustainable Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) for the City of San Jose, CA.
The final deliverables for this project will hopefully be materials for the city including policy recommendations for more financially viable and sustainable ADUs. She hopes to understand the barriers of ADU construction by homeowners in San Jose and aim to gather information from the general public in San Jose to gain a broad perspective on the subject of ADUs.
