West San Carlos and South Bascom (North) Urban Village Plans: City Council Hearing Date, Draft Plan

Dear Interested Community Member,

Thank you for your interest in the West San Carlos and South Bascom (North) Urban Villages! The City Council hearing is rescheduled for Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. (held at the San José City Hall Council Chambers located at 200 East Santa Clara St., San José, CA 95113).

Public Hearing notices will be mailed shortly, but can also be found here for the West San Carlos Urban Village and here for the South Bascom Urban Village.

Comments/Questions: If you have comments or questions on the draft Plans, please email me directly and your comments will be considered and included in the public record. You can find the draft Plans for the West San Carlos and South Bascom Urban Villages at the hyperlinks provided.

Please note: The Urban Village Plans are policy documents which provide guidance for future development and investment within the Village boundaries, like future housing and job growth. These Plans are not development proposals and adoption of these Plans will not directly result in any physical development (demolition or construction) in the area. If and when a private property owner wishes to redevelop their land, they will be required to comply with the applicable Urban Village Plan, as well as the City’s permitting process.

Workshop #3 (re-hosted) Community Open House: The community workshop summaries of the community comments and the ranking of the desired amenities for each Urban Village Plan are below:

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you,

Jennifer Piozet
