Buena Vista Parks Little Free Library

If you have stopped by Buena Vista Park during the last few months, you may have noticed a new addition on the West side of the park; a Little Free Library. A Little Free Library is a “take a book, return a book” free book exchange. They come in many shapes and sizes, but the most common version is a small wooden box of books where anyone may take a book or bring a book to share.

This Little Free Library was built and painted by neighbors with the help and generous donations of Lowes Hardware and Tap Plastics (on the Alameda), and installed with the help of the Buena Vista Neighborhood Association.

This library intends to grow our community and make books readily available to everyone in the neighborhood, especially children. If you have any books you no longer read and would love to give a second life to, please feel free to stop by the park and put them in the library; and while you’re there, take a look and see if you find a new book to read for yourself or your family.

For more information about the Little Free Library, for information about donating books, or if you would like to suggest another location in our neighborhood for an additional Little Free Library, please email
