    Buena Vista Little Free Library Makeover

    The Buena Vista Park Little Free Library got a makeover and spring cleaning, a new window, new coat of paint, and its shelves cramed full of books! Additionally a sign has finally been ordered for the library and will be installed shortly! This Little Free Library sees hundred of guests of all ages every month and serves as an imporant assest to the entire neighborhood, providing kids and adults access to free reading materials.     A small park sandwiched between two major San Jose thoroughfares can serve as a pit stop of sorts for bicyclists since several cycle-friendly features were recently installed there. Riders whose bikes break down on the road can now pull over at Buena Vista Park, between West San Carlos Street and Parkmoor Avenue, and borrow tools to adjust gears or fix a flat at a bike repair stand.     Utility boxes are for the most part rectangular, gray, metal structures housing needed electrical wiring. They are also both drab and ubiquitous. Now there are exceptions in the form of original artwork transforming drab to dramatic and gray to colorful.     Buena Vista Parks Little Free Library

    If you have stopped by Buena Vista Park during the last few months, you may have noticed a new addition on the West side of the park; a Little Free Library. A Little Free Library is a “take a book, return a book” free book exchange. They come in many shapes and sizes, but the most common version is a small wooden box of books where anyone may take a book or bring a book to share.
