The countdown is on! The San José Half Marathon & 8K is just around the corner, bringing a full weekend of energy, celebration, and community spirit to Santana Row. From May 31 through June 1, runners, families, and neighbors alike will gather for an unforgettable lineup of events.

Festivities begin on Saturday, May 31, with the Speed City Mile at 9:00 am, followed by the Kaiser Permanente 408Kids Fun Run at 10:00 am—perfect for our youngest athletes. Throughout the day, Santana Row will buzz with activities, including packet pick-up, a Happy Hour gathering, a fun shakeout run with the pace team, and even Yoga on the Row to help everyone limber up before the big day.

Then, on Sunday morning, June 1, the real action begins. At 7:30 am, the Half Marathon presented by Kaiser Permanente takes off, guiding runners on a flat, fast course through some of San José’s most vibrant neighborhoods. Shortly after, at 8:30 am, the 8K kicks off, offering a shorter but equally spirited race experience. Both events start and finish at Santana Row, making it the hub of excitement all weekend long.

The celebration doesn’t stop at the finish line. From 9:15 am onward, the Finish Line Festival’s Main Stage will honor top finishers while music, food, and festivities keep the energy high until noon. It’s more than just a race—it’s a full weekend of community connection, healthy living, and city pride.

Whether you’re lacing up to run, cheering for a friend, or just looking to enjoy the atmosphere, the San José Half Marathon & 8K is set to be an event you won’t want to miss.

The race will close major portions of The Alameda and areas around Valley Fair Mall so plan accordingly.
