    This holiday season, BVNA will be working with Santa Claus and the San Jose Fire Department to spread the joy throughout the community, collecting new, unwrapped gifts for children of all ages (infants to teenagers). Toys can be dropped off at Buena Vista Park on December 1st from 12-3pm.  Alternatively toys can be brought to the BVNA Holiday Potluck on December 4.     In spite of red flag warnings around 1pm, a wildfire dubbed, the Park Fire sparked just off Monterey Road and Coyote Creek Golf Drive, in South San Jose. The 63-acre brush fire is racing through dry grass resulting in the temporary closure of 101 in both directions.     City Manager David Sykes has appointed Robert Sapien, Jr. Fire Chief for the City of San José Fire Department, effective immediately. Sapien, currently the Acting Fire Chief, also holds the permanent Assistant Fire Chief position.
